That’s our goal with this event. We want the third installment of JMS Next to be the largest event the School of Journalism & Media Studies has ever held. Why?
To celebrate the next generation of innovative storytellers aka JMS Class of 2024. They have managed to survive thrive despite the world being turned upside down at the start of their collegiate career. Let’s raise a glass to their success and come out and cheer them on.
To create a network of JMS and media professionals. We all know the expression “it’s not what you know, it’s who you know.” Well, we think it’s pretty important what you know, but we also know the value in building a large group of people who you know. As the premiere media school in the region, we want to be the center of it all and serve to connect our alumni with each other and with other media professionals here and around the world.
Because we like to throw a party. We know that isn’t the best reason, but we love to talk (we’re communicators, after all). And we picked an iconic San Diego venue with a view to kill to help facilitate our conversations.
